BOOK GROUP THURSDAY!
We are meeting this Thursday at 8:30 at Rachel Benefield's house. We will be discussing "Promise Me" by Richard Paul Evans. Linda Jenkins will be leading the discussion and we will have a list of books for the next year. Also, if you are interested in hosting or leading a discussion please let Lacey Schofield know. Ward Chili Cookoff!!!
CENTERTON WARD CHILI COOKOFF / DESSERT AND CORNBREAD BAKE OFF

CATEGORIES:
o Classic (Ground Beef only. Not TOO hot)
o Refiner’s Fire (5-Alarm Hot)
o Alternative (Any kind of meat other than ground beef, or used in combination with ground beef)
o Dessert
o Cornbread
Ribbons awarded for best in each category, and also for best overall chili.

EMERGENCY CARE FOR CHILDREN CLASS
Don't forget about tonight's class on “EMERGENCY CARE FOR CHILDREN.” This class will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm at Rachel Andrew’s house. Rachel lives at 420 Asboth Drive in Centerton. Below is a note from Rachel about what she will be teaching. The class looks amazing!!!
We will be learning about what should be in a first aid kit, how to use the items in the kit, as well as how to deal with many common emergencies such as choking, burns, sprains, scrapes, head injuries, etc.
I also prepared a special section just for respiratory problems such as croup, bronchitis, RSV, etc.

BOOK GROUP INFORMATION
Sisters,
If you are new to the ward and haven't yet heard about the book group, we'd like to invite you to join us. All sisters in the Centerton Ward are invited to attend.
Book Group is held the first Thursday of each month. November Book Group will be held this Thursday at 8:30 pm at Megan Gibson's house (800 Harvest Street) in Centerton. Alicia Hoyt will be leading a discussion on the book "These Is My Words." Please come, even if you haven't read the book. The company and treats are always good!!
At the November book group, we will also be deciding what books we'd like to read and discuss in upcoming months. We'd like to decide on at least 6 months worth of books, but more would be great! Please come with ideas of books you'd like to read in future months.
Also, the Book Group needs a new leader. Responsibilities would include sending a monthly email to remind sisters of book group, making sure the book group information is posted on the Sisters First Blog, and coordinating discussion leaders and hosts. You would not necessarily need to host a book group at your home or lead a discussion.
