Send a Free Christmas Card to a Soldier
If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.
This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you's.
Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

PTO Needs Volunteers
I received this email that I want to share with you:
I'm trying to find out if you know of any folks from your church who would be willing to volunteer their time to help us during our monthly PTO meetings at Centerton Gamble. We've found that we have increased attendance when we offer children's activities so members don't have to worry about child care.
The Centerton PTO needs volunteers. They are getting some volunteers from the 1st Baptist Church as well to help out. Here are the particulars:
-We will start helping at the Januaray 2011 mtg. Then, they hope, every other mtg after that. (total of 3)
-2 volunteers each time (makes it easier for you!)
-You do not have to provide an activity, but if you have ideas, that would be a big help.
-They are NOT allowed to use the school equipment (ie: balls, toys, etc.)
Please contact Leslee Lai 426-4197 or by email at laijiating@hotmail.com for any questions and to VOLUNTEER!
I (and the PTO) thank you for your help.

40 Day Spiritual Renewal
Isaiah 2:3 "Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths....
The Bishop has asked us to hold a special family council (perhaps for Family Home Evening) to develop your family and individual goals as follows:
As a family - choose one goal to spiritually strengthen your family as a whole.
As an individual - choose one goal to spiritually fortify yourself as an individual.
Prayerfully work on these goals for the next 40 days.
Whom will you be when you come down from the mount?
What are you doing to prepare your place of security?
Fast Sunday on November 7th will give us a chance to share our experiences in bringing our families and ourselves closer to the Lord.

Need to borrow a lounge chair for photo shoot

Does anyone have a settee/chaise lounge similar to this one that I could borrow for a couple hours tomorrow (Saturday) evening? I have a photo session with a family and the grandmother is ill and needs a place to sit in the photos so I was trying to come up with some cute seating options. If you can help, will you let me know asap? Color doesn't matter, just something with similar shape/style.
Thanks so much!

If you know any woman currently undergoing Chemo, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning - 1 time per month for 4 months while she is in treatment.
