WORLDWIDE BROADCAST CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF SEMINARY!

WHAT: Seminary Centennial Fireside with President Packer.

WHERE: Rogers Stake Center 

WHO: For all seminary aged youth, their parents, leaders and seminary teachers.

ESPECIALLY FOR SEMINARY YOUTH!

Saturday, 4 February 2012. Tri-Stake Especially For Seminary Youth

1-9pm at the Springdale AR Stake Center. 

Sunday Dress from 1-5pm for the workshops. 

Dinner will be provided by Fort Smith Stake at 5pm.

Dance provided by Springdale Stake at 6pm. 

Ages 14-18. 

Youth can earn up to 5 days of makeup work if they attend the entire workshop time

STAKE GARDENING CLASS

The Rogers Stake will continue the “corn” farm project this summer -- it is located at the Centerton Ward site, corner of Seba and Gamble Roads in Centerton. Individual garden plots will continue to be available.

Now is the time many like to begin their indoor seedlings--in response to requests, there will be a gardening class at the Centerton Church on January 26 at 7:00. The Millers, Tom and Gina, from Bentonville 2^nd Ward will teach "How to Have a Successful Garden" and will cover these main points:

1. Have a plan

-things to consider (cost, time, etc)

- commitment

- Arkansas growing season

- tools needed

2. Know your soil

3. Know your pests

4. Organic vs. Natural

5. Water, molds, and mildew

6. Weeds and weed control

7. Companion planting

8. Benefits

- family work ethic

- gaining knowledge

- canning your bounty

9. Heavenly Father

TEMPLE TRIP SATURDAY!

The Ward Temple Trip is this Saturday.  We will be attending the 11:40 AM session. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to session.  Contact Steve Birch for more details, or if you are needing a ride or help with babysitting.

The Stocking Your Pantry class
is tonight at Joane Loden's from 7:00-8:00. Come learn some insight into this wonderful lesson!

BOOK GROUP TOMORROW!!

Book group will be at Lacey Schofield's house tomorrow night at 8:30 PM. We will be discussing Hotel On The Corner Of Bitter And Sweet. Alicia Hoyt will be leading the discussion. Bring a treat to share and come join us. Even if you haven't read the book, it's a great girls night out!!

Caleb Joseph Cornelsen was born December 31st at 11:28 PM. Almost a New Years Baby! He was 6 LBS 8 OZ 19.75" long. Congrats Kristen and Eric!!!!
